2009 Trend Forecast

style.com recently has set this Spring 2009 trends. I kinda excited to read it, because I am so in love with almost every presentation. I've concluded and made the review about this fabulous looks... Here's my review...

Depression Chic
No more fashion forward dresses, just like Victoria Beckham's dresses, if you want to adapt this look. This look is inspired by the economic crash of 1929 in America and all you have to do is mix your vintage outfit. There are glittery flapper frocks, faded sack dresses, plaid shirt and weird mix&match style. You may look like a stressful vintage gal, but this style rock though.

Goddess Worship
I love this trend... There are Light and airy at Marchesa, grecian draping at Zac Posen and Red Carpet dresses at Dior, Versace and Elie Saab. It's not really hard to pull off this look. You just need some flowing dresses and a goddess-feeling when you wear it... It's just a one piece and it will create you a thousand times more beautiful.

Geometry Lessons
This is what I call "The Future Style", which I personally believe, that there's no style like this in the future. The futuristic feeling with the unusual shape appears on many runway. This season, designers indulged their urge to bend, fold, twist, and otherwise manipulate fabric in ever bolder (and bigger) ways. Maybe you can't really wear this style 100 percent, some modifying will make you look trendy without looking weird. My favorites are Lanvin and Dolce pieces.

Trash & Vaudeville
This look is all about eighties rock-chic. Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, and London's Meadham Kirchhoff revitalized the eighties outfit, a decade most of us were happy to say goodbye to forever. Shoulder pads? Yes, if Balmain's Christophe Decarnin is involved, bring 'em on then there's Ditto ripped denim and shredded lace. You must have thoserevel feelings if you wanna pull off this look..

Sporting Goods
This year, people are getting more aware with their health than before. Yoga, Pilates and Non-Fat Food are now their choice to fulfill their need of health. That's why there are a lot of designer made some lovable sporting goods. Running pants, hoodies, and bodysuits hit the runways at Louise Goldin, Missoni, and Michael Kors, respectively, while glorified boxing gear made an appearance at Kris Van Assche. Lets go get dressed and get your fab' shapes!!

Marakech Express
Arabian looks is coming to our way. There were Jodhpur pants/Ali Baba pants at Chloe and DVF, djellabas at Gucci, turbans everywhere from Dries Van Noten to Paul Smith. Plus there were as many slouchy, sexy silk jumpsuits as there are stars in an Arabian night sky. . This is not an easy look to pull off because you must have brave feelings to wear soe strange shape outfit that maybe won't match to a fat girl.

My most favorite looks are...
Depression Chic

What's Yours???

Black Models are back!

Vogue Italia Black Issue - Four Covers
After the All Black Issue of Italian Vogue released and Obama is chosen as US President, seems like all black models got more luck than before.

Vogue - Black Models
There's only a few black models in the world and it's just a plenty of them who are shining. Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks and Liya Kebede are the example of the lack of black supermodels. Then there's Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn & Selita Ebanks as the girl of the moment...

And the most surprising things happened...

Gucci Spring 2009 Ready-to-Wear
Chanel Iman walked at Gucci Spring 2009
She was the first black woman to walk in Gucci since 2005, when Tom Ford still on Gucci

Jourdan Dunn at Chanel Haute Couture
Jourdan Dunn walked at Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2009
Chanel never used black models before, especially in couture...

Is it because of Obama effect then the designer get Obamazed?
or is it all because of the economic recession that make people do some strange things???

"What in the hell were they thinking?" Heels

I still can't understand what's inside the crazy mind of world's designer. Actually, I always love with their works on the outfit, but for the shoes? I don't think so... Maybe the designer shoes will spoil your eyes with its fantastic shape and its unusual heels. But I believe that it's uncomfortable to use and it will make you fall down . That's why Hollywood A-Lister would choose Louboutin or Jimmy Choo rather than wearing those dangerous heels by Prada or Dolce. If you are not Posh Spice, just don't wear it..

Here are some of the dangerous and disastrous heels that appeared on this Spring 2009 Runways
It's thin and looks like it'll broken A.S.A.P.

WHAT????? Its heels look like a snake :P

the FENCES heels, weirdo!

This heels make 2 models fell in the runway. The skycrapper heels actually doesn't look so dangerous, but these models are wearing some socks which is so slippery to walk...

The double heels are so insaneeeeee!!! I'm still wondering if there's any woman would wear it.

Fash-Man

These days, men seems look more stylish than women. Even some men always look more fashion forward and branded. There are a lot offer from many brands to make men more stylish and edgy. There's Topman for the High-Street Fashion, Dior Homme for the Ultra Sleek Style and Lanvin for the Luxurious one.

This afternoon, I found some great style from the people in Lanvin Fall 2009 fashion show..
Enjoyy!!!

1259kanyewest
Kanye West, my recent favorite rapper, looked outstanding wearing a red jacket and grey pants. The unmatched color of suit is gonna be big on 2009 and Kanye proved that it's a real big style. I love it...

1259smile
This style looks so fresh... I love how he combined green color of the jacket with the navy color of the vest :)

1259maroonpants
OHHH! Those red pants and gold shoes is so so cool!!!!!!! This skinny man is giving us some inspiration to not afraid wearing some bold colors at the same time.

1259model
I love his jeans and his warmy coat. The sneakers really stood out and I think I should find the similar one for me..

OH MY FU***N' GOD !

Beyonce Knowles as Etta James for Cadillac Records the Movie
I haven't seen the Cadillac Records movie that featured Beyonce as Etta James. But when I saw this picture of one scene in the movie, I was sooo shocked.as she looked like a mad girl. Beyonce gained 15 pounds for this role, which is so different with Deena Jones role in DreamGirls. Oh my God, she doesn't look like a diva at all in this picture, but I believe that she played her role well...

Men's It Bag: Backpack

Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 Ready-to-Wear
Backpack will be so huge this year... After seeing many men wearing totes (which I really don't like), I am thankful to Marc Jacobs to make this gorgeous bag, instead of totes...
I am tired seeing a man wearing totes in the mall, because it will make you look less stylish.. This black backpack is appeared on Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 collection.
FYI, I always wear my blue backpack if I go to class & I'm lovin' it..

Teen Vogue March Cover: Taylor Swift

My another Red Carpet Crush, Taylor Swift graces the cover of my favorite teen magazine, Teen Vogue March edition. She wore a fabulous blue dress by Calvin Klein Spring 2009 and some beautiful necklaces from Badgley Mischka, Made Her Think, Gerard Yosca, Sunday's Best, and Ligia Dias.

For me, Taylor Swift is one of the bravest Hollywood teen star as she choose the unfamiliar music for her age, country music. She's 19, just like me (I'm even older!!!) and she sings as great as LeAnn Rimes or Shania Twain.
I personally don't really like country, but when i heard Taylor's song, I kinda like it.
Taylor's latest album, Fearless, has reached double platinum in selling and has topped billboard chart in the world.
SALUTE !

Here's some Interview that i got from teenvogue.com...

Teen Vogue: You grew up in a town called Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, listening to the Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain. When—and why—did you first come to Nashville?
Taylor Swift: Well, I started begging my mom to bring me here after I saw a TV special on Faith Hill—she came to Nashville, and that's how she made it. So for spring break we rented a car and drove up and down Music Row, handing my homemade demo CD to the receptionists at all the labels. I'd say, "Hey, I'm eleven, and I want a record deal. Call me."

TV: Was country music popular in your hometown?
TS: Not at all. The kids at school thought it was weird that I liked country—they'd make fun of me. Junior high was actually sort of hard, because I got dumped by this group of popular girls. They didn't think I was cool or pretty enough, so they stopped talking to me.

TV: On Fearless, you sing about your penchant for T-shirts and sneakers, and you're the face of the denim line L.e.i. But it seems like you've been busting out some pretty glamorous looks on the red carpet lately.
TS: Thank you! I've learned a lot. I go to all these photo shoots, and each time I figure out something new about myself and what I want to wear. For a big night, I like Marchesa or Badgley Mischka—and I love Oscar de la Renta. I've never gotten to wear one of his dresses; if I ever did, I would probably faint. And I am obsessed with high heels.

TV: Does it feel strange to have so many people taking your picture all the time?
TS: Well, I've never had paparazzi in Nashville before; that's a new thing. You really have a lot of privacy here. I saw that documentary on Britney Spears, and I feel bad for her—she can't leave her house!

Here's another great picture on her...

Victoria Beckham Sensation!!!

Victoria Beckham always make a sensation and she will always make it... The latest sensation that she made is posing on Giorgio Armani Lingerie Print Ad. When I first heard that Posh would sign her contract with Armani, I was a bit underestimate her. I thought Posh didn't have a body to do it...
But when I see the ad, voila I it.. :)

Victoria landed the reported £12million (wow, I want it) , 3 year modeling deal late last year, following in the footsteps of her gorgeous husband David, who posed for the same brand.

and here she is, posing with his hubby, David. I don't see David as big as Vicky in this picture. David can do a lot better than this...

I'm Serena Van Der Woodsen :)

This afternoon, after attending my final exam, I took another quiz, but now on teenvogue.com
I took this quiz because I'm way too bored with the English Exams. LOL
This quiz is about which gossip girl are you..

And the result is....SERENA
Whether you're being miss socialista in the Upper East Side or in the Hamptons, your boho-sophisticate style is always appropriately cool. Mixing vests, loose tops and skinny jeans is your comfort zone, but you certainly aren't afraid to don a designer gown or two when the occasion arises!

Dakota Fanning for New Moon

dakota-vampire-pic.jpg
ATTENTION!!!
For all Twilighters, I got the latest news from the movie. Dakota Fanning is being considered to play a role in that movie as Jane in its sequel, New Moon... If it's really true, then I can't hardly be patient to wait it !!!!
I love twilight and I love Dakota...

Ed Westwick appears on Teen Vogue March 2009

Ed Westwick
Ed Westwick, the bad boy of Gossip Girl appears on US Teen Vogue March Edition.

Here's the article preview that I got from teenvogue.com

As tempting as it might be to mistake Mr. Edward Westwick for a real-life version of his on-screen alter ego—almost everyone knows he plays Gossip Girl's always-entertaining Chuck Bass—the actor (who simply goes by "Ed") is quick to insist that any similarities between them are purely superficial. "We look the same," he says, "but that's about it, darling."

Well, that's not quite it. While we'll happily concede that the actor is likely not driven by the same "inner emptiness" and all-consuming "desire for revenge" that he ascribes to his recently orphaned character, Ed does share some of Chuck's sunnier qualities—for example, that charmingly louche affect. And just as C's every assignation is faithfully tracked by the show's titular know-it-all narrator, Ed's own rumored make-out sessions (with Drew Barrymore and, lately, costar Jessica Szohr) serve as fodder for numerous gossip Web sites and weekly tabloids. He's cagey, of course, when it comes to specifics but says that his overall outlook on romance represents yet another big difference between Chuck and him: "I'm all for being in love," he notes. "And whenever I like someone, I end up pretty much completely smitten."

Ed seems truly to adore his primary gig. "I learn so much every day, every week, every episode," he says. "And everyone on the show has created this great bond. We're like a family." But the 21-year-old Brit is still happy for a chance to prove to his audience that he's capable of playing more than just its favorite smug rich boy. In the upcoming S. Darko (a sequel to the 2001 cult hit Donnie Darko), he's "a small-town guy who never really lived up to his potential." He's also hoping to make another movie during Gossip Girl's summer hiatus. And though his rock band, the Filthy Youth, is largely defunct—"I'm busy with the show," he explains, "and they're back in England"—he says he's looking to put together a new, New York–based group. The details may be sketchy, but Ed is cheerfully confident. "I'm sure," he says, "you haven't heard the last of me yet."

Red Carpet Crush: Kerry Washington

I have a lot girl crushes on red carpet. I like Chloe Sevigny with her quirky style, Zooey Deschanel with her cutie style and Camilla Belle with her flawless look. But right now, I am so in love with Kerry Washington.
Miss Washington always appears in a really great outfit and consistent being a best-dressed lady. When she walked the red carpet, attended some fashion show or when she supporting Obama. Maybe her appeareances aren't as flawless as Anne Hathaway or as beautiful as Kate Beckinsale, but this girl really know how to rock fashion.
