Balenciaga Spring 2009

Balenciaga is one of the fashion house that always keeps me asking : What will they do again? Another crazy outfit? Another outta-your-mind heels? Or another alienate girl?

And Nicholas Ghesquière didn't let me down by showing this mind-blowing Spring 2009 collection...

Backstage at Balenciaga, Nicolas Ghesquière talked about his collection, quite simply, as an exploration of "matte and shine, playing with textures to see how they reflect or absorb light. And playing with our house codes."

It involved silvered Lurex streaking over skin to cover legs, feet, and hands; asymmetric combinations of drape and structure; bonded jersey pantsuits with A-line tunic tops; tissue-fine metallic crinkle-pleated jackets; and, somewhere in the middle, pale suede pieces that looked as if they might have been extruded from some high-spec industrial machine.

Like Versace, Balenciaga believed in love. Actually it's not as true like the Versace's heart but it was a heart. At first, I found this a bit ridicolous because heart can be syncronized with the future style... But in the end, I adore Nicholas for making it so syncronized.

Beyonce or even Sasha Fierce should love this dress... The metallic dresses is a bling-bling but it didn't look cheapy... The cut was so edgy, then there's a multicolored metallic, gold waterfall dress and so on. So Alienate and FUTURISTIC!

This is the real alien style... The shape, the material and the shine should be wear in the year of 2120..

Balenciaga was presenting a real modern style for a man. There were skinny shiny pants, ultra sleek suits, unmatched suits and an alienate jacket..

Atelier Versace Spring 2009

Atelier Versace is one of my favorite couture label. It is a perfect-fit for the red carpet and the collection is always beautiful without being too much.

The collection is out and I've picked some of the best from the collection..

Aqua-green and smoky grey organza evening gown.
Large organza circles embroider the asymmetrical volume of the draped bustier.

Black silk organza evening dress.
A pleated motif effect forms three-dimensional fan shapes creating graphic rythyms of transparency which curve around the entire body.

Mini cage shaped dress made from gold silk tulle.
Embroidered bodice with feathers handpainted and metallic sequins in complementing shades of gold.

Bubble shaped mini dress in silk organza.
Embroidered entirely in laquered red sequins.

Bouganville silk chiffon ballgown.
Large purple crinoline bands define each ruffle of the skirt and create a dramatic asymmetric motif on one shoulder.

Zac Posen Spring 2009

The celeb's favorite designer, Zac Posen, presented a great presentation with ultra-glamour-feels.. From big metallic chandelier earrings to embellished dresses, Zac seduced the eye of front-row-ers with his great talent...

There were many frills, sugar-pink cocktail dresses, Grecian dresses, animal print gowns, skirts with square cut outs, ruched cocktail dresses, and even a large canary coat/dress.

And here's some trends from this presentation...

Mr. Posen still in love with this trend... Dark Romance also dominated in his Fall 2008 collection... I personally don't like dark color, but Zac made some fabulous dark-color pieces. I especially love the frills...

Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova and Jessica Stam had suddenly put on a few extra inches around the hips...

I love this trend... Grecian Draping will make you look so angelic and beautifully fantastic...

I these....

Marc Jacobs Spring 2009

Marc Jacobs has always been my most favorite designer ever, as he always presents some delicious collection for his first line, second line or for Louis Vuitton. He also always seduces my heart because Marc Jacobs always create some amazing outfits that mixed with his grungy wicked style. For this Spring 2009, The lady-like clothes had Edwardian silhouettes among other eras, appeared in almost every pieces. The collection included 1940’s shoulder pads, farm-girl plaids, but the ultimate look was gypsy. But he made the look more upscale with metallic pieces, and wide geisha belts which had large safe pins. It can be categorized as Depression Chic because the beautiful collection was mixed with an unusual style.
Here are the best trend from this collection…

Plaid was one of the best major trends from this collection… There were tank-tops, shirt, and sleeveless shirt in blue, red or yellow color. This trend was mixed with some beautiful skirts, padded jacket, wide belt or was used behind the dress… Plaids always remind me of Kurt Cobain’s grungy style in the late 90’s, but I find these plaids trends more girlie & it looked like an old-farm-girl… It’s an easy trend to follow, because you can find plaids-everything everywhere. From H&M, Topshop, Marc Jacobs to some local flea market, you can find them…

Turban is sooo back. Marc Jacobs mesmerized my eyes with the famous Gypsy style that came with metallic materials. The pattern is good as usual and the combination of the color is way out of my mind...

Almost every pieces in this collection were 2 pieces and the skirt was the major thing... The skirts weren't just another skirt, it has unusual shape, color, pattern and materials...

Rodarte Spring 2009

Rodarte is one of my current favorite designer. Kate and Laura Mulleavy presented her collection with her artistic sense for Spring 2009. The gorgeous dyed Grecian gowns of Fall returned for Spring, embellished with crystals and in an Olafur Eliasson-inspired palette of violet, orange, white, and blue. Also familiar were the knits, but this time composed of a mélange of materials, including leather and chains, so decayed-looking as to almost defy the label "sweaters." These were worn with the most salable pieces the sisters have ever shown: circular lace-pleated skirts in a shape familiar to any Catholic school student.
It was so beautiful yet magical and of course so Rodarte...

There were a lot of nudes in the beginning of presentation...
I actually don't really love the nude trend, but I do love what they did with the nudes trend.. I especially love the metallic nude skinny pants...

Then there came the black... Black was not boring in this collection because they made it so so edgy...

Lotta dyed dress and this one is my favorite trend... From purple, black, blue and orange, the dyed dress was great for your summertime...

How beautiful!!! At the end of the presentation, they showed the multicolored dyed dress that consisted of black, purple, orange and white colors...

Olsen Invashion

http://www.bestcelebrityblog.com/images/blogs/3-2008/olsen-twins-writing-book.jpg
The most powerful twins in the world, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, are launching men’s wear under their label The Row — a fitting development, perhaps, for a collection named after Savile Row that frequently takes inspiration... Whooa... Seems like everything is not enough for them as they always make some money invasion...

And here's one of their Fall 2009 collection...
Look from The Row
For me, the collection is all about Americas formal man. Like one of the picture of black suits above... There are sweaters, coat, wool pants and many other basic stuff in black/grey.
I think it is just plain boring. Hope they'll make more fabulous outfits, more stylish and more magical..
